Protecting Public Medical

Stephen Harper said it's past time the feds scrap the Canada Health act. Public medical is very important to Canadians. Don't give us some bogus iou campaign promise that you're going to break and then privatize our medical system. That is not what Canadians want.

  1. wow, a comment from over ten years ago, when he was representing a different organization! This has NOTHING to do with the tory party. This has NOTHING to do with the current election.

  2. It was a comment made by Stephen Harper and is very relevant. Look at David Cameron in England who wants to “liberate” every public program including schools and hospitals from “State” control.

Whats your point? Is this guy really Harper in disguise? If he is, then I see your point. If not, this has nothing to do with harper or Canadian Politics.

What does england's David Cameron have to do with Canada? Is he a representative of the Harper Government? Is he in charge of Harper? is he Harper's boss?? What is your point? A politician's agenda in a different country doesn't mean anything in Canada.

Here's an absurd argument that mirrors your's:

I think that the government is going start killing people based on religion, look at Saddam Housein in Iraq...

  4. Cameron has the same agenda Harper does. The Americans sold Saddam the chemical weapons he used on the Kurds to use on Iran. Don’t get me started on Iraq.

  5. Another blog reader made a good point in another post. Although the quote from Harper claiming that the Canada Health Act should be scrapped is old, 1997, Harper served as president of that lobbyist group from 1998 to 2002 which was not long ago. That lobbyist group still supports and fund Harpers campaign and still opposes public health care so Harper’s denial of wanting to dismantle and destroy public heath care is a bold face lie because that clearly is still on the agenda.
